John Denver became a star through the folk-inspired songs he wrote, most of which are located in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell New Mexico. However, he discovered love for Colorado. He later settled in Aspen. Denver's state anthems are a source of inspiration for numerous people to go to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declared that John Denver is the only artist to represent Colorado. In 2011, Denver was named the Hall of Fame's first inductee. He has become the personification of Colorado for many people across the globe. In my journeys, you meet someone from the other end of the planet, or someone of New Zealand and you say "I'm originally from Colorado and the first word that comes that comes out of their mouths is"Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads is the only Denver Top 10 Hit as a Solo Artist following his time in small Folk Music Groups. The song was composed in collaboration with Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the song to Johnny Cash but Denver recognized the song's potential after hearing it first. After performing the song on stage in Washington D.C. to a huge crowd, the singer made a recording a few days from now.
