Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and composer. Avery Sunshine combines soul gospel jazz with R&B in a distinct mix. From Broadway to European events and bars, the singer has done work everywhere. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta however, she comes from Chester Pennsylvania where she began her music career by singing and playing piano in churches. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You a House 12 came out only in Japan. It's been remixed many times, and it is a mainstay in her live performance. The voice of hers was featured in the music video for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005 she was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy and Tony Award winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the stage production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was recognized nationally during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She got invited to perform during President Obama's 2008 inauguration.
